There's something about TV games that keeps the players honest. That's why I play them.

Pretty much the same formula even though I got a little lucky last nite. Cleveland is one of the most fundamental of all the NFL teams, while Green Bay needs that trickery to score their points. There's no trickery in preseason, not this early. Also, I think both these teams have been together for awhile but Cleveland is building up, replacing inferior players with better ones, while Green Bay appears to be building down, trying to replace some tough, older veterans. I'm not even sure what that means, but I'll take any angle I can get because this is the right point spread.

In the titans game last week, I thought Davis would take advantage of an injured and problematic secondary, considering their depth at WR and so called QB battle. However, Davis appeared to use the game to test his players against the titans strengths. This is not unusual as Fisher, when possible also game plans against an opponents strength to get positives out of a game. I have no doubt that if Cleveland's priority was to win the game but learn little, they would have won.

So my opinion is, Davis is more concerned with evaluation than winning pre-season games. On the other side of the coin, Green bay may have the same mentality and playing at home may make the win higher up Davis's goals.

As usual, its only my thoughts, but pre-season seems to make idiots of us all.
